As a Vietnamese-American, I’m pretty particular about depth and balance, and theirs actually had some real complexity instead of that flat, one-note taste a lot of spots settle for. I ordered the banh mi dac biet, which was satisfying and well built, though I still wanted the bread a touch crisper and the pickled vegetables a little sharper. Still, for Charlotte, it scratched the itch better than most.
